I find myself in constant amazement that I have not yet shriveled up and died from lack of fuel! I literally have almost no appetite and the love affair with food is over. Oh, don't get me wrong, the smell of fried chicken or ribs still has it's appeal, but after a few bites, I'm done. This is due in part to my sleeve of a stomach which cannot hold much of anything and still easily chokes if I eat too fast (need about a minute between bites) or don't thoroughly chew it up. Hopefully, within a year, I can enjoy food a bit more.

We went to a Winery a few weeks ago and I thought "What's a small glass of wine in the form of samples gonna do?" Well, it got me drunk! Note to self: No more booze for quite a while.

Now the downside. While I am walking about 4 miles a day, that is about it. For the most part, all of my CFS problems remain. I cannot handle inclines or stairs very well at all. Maybe it will change, but in the meantime, I can't push it. It's also kind of tough to eat because of such a small appetite. I don't feel like making much of anything. Saves a lot on groceries.

My next visit to the Dr. they are supposed to be able to predict what my weight will be after 1 year. My goal is 220 (High School Weight) and I am currently at 265. 250 lbs gets me zip lining!

Born in South Bend, Indiana, I have spent much of my life in the Midwest. I was never really content about that area of the Country. somehow, by some divine intervention and the beginnings of a plan, we sold everything and moved to Lahaina, HI in the Summer of 2006 to start over with no job, a sight unseen condo to live in, and a few boxes of precious items. I have not looked back since...
